Floor-level showers are becoming increasingly trendy. They are not only extremely modern, but also barrier-free and indispensable for the future. Make sure there is sufficient drainage to protect your bathroom from flooding. The water is drained via a drain in the shower floor; you can choose between linear and point drainage. With linear drainage, the elongated channel runs parallel to the wall; with point drainage, the water drains centrally or decentrally.

Shower drain and shower channel

As described above, a floor-level shower offers many advantages. It's not only super modern, but also a future-oriented and worthwhile investment. Because of the barrier-free access to the shower, it's no longer a problem for older people. A ground-level shower can even be accessed with a wheelchair. But good drainage shouldn't only be considered in the bathroom. It's also recommended for cellars and utility rooms.

We distinguish between two types of floor drains for indoor use:

Linear drainage

At the Linear drainage One uses a lengthwise gutter, which can be installed either in the middle of the shower or parallel to the wall. Another very popular option is installation on the wall.

Point drainage

At the Point drainage The drain can be installed either in the middle or in the corner of a shower enclosure. If you opt for the middle, you must ensure that four slopes adjoin the drainage so that the water can drain evenly.

• Requires little space.
• Different cover designs
• Suitable for smaller tiles

Installing the complete shower channel set into the wall surface of the utility floor is simple. No additional demolition work in the floor or screed is necessary. A drainpipe is integrated, which is directly connected to the sewer.
