Areas of application for the DURAL ET-S sealing membrane:
TheSealing membrane ET-Sis mainly used in bathrooms and wet rooms to seal large areas on floors and walls.
It is also ideally suited for public shower facilities, commercial kitchens and wellness areas to achieve a reliable composite seal.
TheDURAL ET-S waterproofing membranesare approved up to water exposure class W3-1 and thus cover the entire spectrum of sealing surfaces that come into contact with utility and splash water.
This is how the DURAL ET-S sealing membrane is installed:
- Prepare the surface:
First, ensure that the floor is clean, stable, and even. Any necessary leveling work must be completed before laying the mat. If necessary, prime the surface. - Apply thin-bed mortar:
Now apply thin-bed mortar with a 4 x 4 mm notched trowel. Either hydraulically setting flexible mortar or fast-setting flexible adhesive (DIN EN 12004 /C2) can be used for this. - Attaching the tracks:
Embed the cut strips with the unprinted side fully into the adhesive. Then press out any air bubbles. Ensure that the mat joints are laid with a minimum overlap of 5 cm. Seal the overlap with DURAL sealing tape ET-S to make it waterproof. - Seal pipe connections, transition areas and corners with shaped parts:
After applying the sealing membrane, the aforementioned areas are sealed with the corresponding shaped parts. The shaped parts are glued with our adhesive sealant.
As soon as all components have been installed, the tiling can begin using the thin-set method without any waiting time.
