However, many people are unaware that most tile profiles are classified as bulky goods. Therefore, we would like to provide you with some transparency regarding our freight costs in this article.
But the shipping is expensive... Good product, expensive shipping... The expensive shipping put me off... Shipping could be a bit cheaper...
These are sentences that we unfortunately still regularly read in our customer reviews. Therefore, with this article, we would like to provide you with some transparency regarding our freight costs.
Our main focus is on the marketing of various... Tile profiles , Balcony profiles and Baseboards . These products are usually oversized and therefore considered bulky goods by the shipping service provider.
Bulky goods are shipments that, due to their size, length, shape, or nature, cannot be sent as a "normal package" in the parcel center. Shipping service providers such as DHL, DPD, UPS, GLS, or Hermes specify exactly how large or heavy a package may be. If the dimensions are not met, additional costs may apply for shipping the package. It is also important to inform yourself in advance, as not every parcel service provider transports bulky goods.
A package is considered oversized when it can no longer be processed mechanically. Shipping service providers have optimally adapted their processes, centers, and delivery vehicles to the package size they have defined, so that a package can be processed, distributed, and delivered quickly. Oversized goods must be laboriously sorted and scanned by hand and transported with a larger delivery vehicle. This means a considerable increase in effort and costs for the parcel service provider.
For us, tile profiles and skirting boards longer than 1 meter are considered oversized goods. Thanks to an exclusive contract with our shipping providers, we are able to charge you only €19.95 for express oversized goods shipping for orders with oversized dimensions. This sounds like a lot at first, but you should consider that this includes surcharges for oversized goods, handling, and length. In addition, the service providers charge us for additional services such as address changes and multiple delivery attempts (if the delivery does not work directly on the first day).
Not yet completely convinced? Then feel free to check with various parcel service providers yourself about shipping bulky goods. You will see that as a private individual you have to pay significantly more than we offer you.
Small items under 1 meter fall under our cheaper small item shipping for €5.95. Furthermore, you receive free shipping on orders over €300.00.

Whether bulky goods or not, we guarantee fast delivery. All packages are sent express. If you order before 12:00 noon, the package will be shipped the same day. The delivery time is a maximum of 2 working days throughout Germany, with approximately 90% of deliveries reaching their destination on the next working day. Another service we offer is tracking your shipment until final delivery. Should a package ever not be delivered, we maintain close contact with our customers and shipping providers to ensure delivery as quickly as possible.
Tile profiles are long but relatively narrow. Without optimal protection, tile profiles can easily bend or scratch. To prevent this, all processed surfaces of the profiles are covered with a protective film that protects against scratches during transport.
The tile profiles are stabilized with wooden strips and packed in cardboard boxes to ensure that the goods arrive in perfect condition.
Should something still get damaged during transport, you can simply contact us by email or phone and we will find a solution together.
Despite our best efforts, we are not always able to prevent transport damage. If you receive a damaged package or if we have made a packing error with your order, please contact us via the Cancellation form or by phone at 089 38151664. We will take care of the return immediately and discuss the next steps with you personally. In such cases, we usually send out a replacement as soon as possible upon request or offer a refund of the value of the goods.
If you have made an order error, please also contact us briefly. In this case, however, you must cover the return shipping costs yourself. Please send the items back within 14 days of the cancellation confirmation and briefly notify us when the package is on its way back (ideally with a tracking number) to prevent internal waiting times in the returns department. You will then receive a credit note for your documents and the amount will be credited to your chosen payment method. Alternatively, we offer to have the items picked up; for this we charge a cost and handling fee of €45.00, which we will deduct from the credit note.
