Professional solutions for outdoor drainage
Are drainage channels useful in outdoor areas?
Drainage gutters are typically used to divert rainwater or other types of runoff water from a specific area or surface. They are especially useful when the area is flat and the water would otherwise stand. Without drainage channels, standing water could lead to problems such as plant growth, mold growth, or even structural damage to buildings or other structures. Outdoor drainage gutters are used to divert rainwater or other types of runoff water from areas such as driveways, patios, sidewalks, parking lots or other areas.
Drainage is the purposeful discharge of water through man-made devices, in addition to natural drainage. A distinction is made between open drainage, such as rain gutters or drainage channel, and closed drainage, such as sewer pipes or downspouts. Nowadays, there are a variety of ways to drain the outdoor area effectively and at the same time aesthetically pleasing. With our modern drainage channel, we offer a high-quality solution for professional and visually appealing surface drainage. Our drainage channels are quick and easy to assemble and can be installed without any special substructure. They are available in different versions, each with different drainage capacities and lengths to meet the needs of your project. Matching accessories such as corner pieces, connector, drain and grates can also be found in our online store.
Outdoor drainage channels are important to drain the runoff water in a controlled way to avoid water accumulation on the surface. Such accumulation of water can cause damage to the surface and also promote the penetration of water into the building or other structures. It is therefore important to properly install drainage channels to ensure that water is drained effectively. Standing rainwater can be a problem in outdoor areas such as patios, yards or driveways. It is important to ensure that the rainwater that accumulates is drained effectively and in a visually appealing manner. One way to do this is to use drainage channels, such as our drainage channel UD Pro gutter black. These gutters are used to collect and drain the accumulating rainwater from adjacent surfaces. When it rains, large amounts of water accumulate on the surface of the terrace or balcony within a short time. If these are not drained away immediately, waterlogging occurs. This increases the water pressure and causes the liquid to penetrate more into the subsoil. For this reason, it is important to integrate a device for the drainage of rainwater into the tiled floor.
Our drainage channels in the range
Our DURAL drainage channels are an effective solution for draining water outdoors. They consist of a hollow plastic body into which a high-quality anodized aluminum grate is embedded. This prevents the gutter from becoming clogged with debris and people from stepping into the gutter. The tiling should have a slight slope towards the gutter, so that the rainwater can be drained quickly and reliably and only a little moisture penetrates into the subsoil.
Our high-quality drainage channels in two different colors are particularly suitable for outdoor projects and impress with their functional design. A special substructure is not required, allowing for quick installation. We offer two different variants:
- Drainage channel UD P 65: This channel features a tall and narrow design and has a maximum drainage capacity of 360 liters per minute. It is available in lengths of 100 and 200 cm.
- Drainage channel UD P 100: This channel has a flat design and a maximum drainage capacity of 330 liters per minute. It is also available in lengths of 100 and 200 cm.
U-DRAIN pro offers the option of side or bottom drainage. For floor drain, the vertical drain spigot is positioned anywhere on the channel and the channel bottom is sawn out using a hole saw. The spigot is then permanently bonded to the channel using the waterproof U-PVC adhesive from DURAL. U-DRAIN pro grate and channel body can be easily shortened to the appropriate length using a suitable saw.
Advantages of our drainage system
Our drainage channels are extremely versatile and easy to install. With a concrete wedge, they can also be installed in a gravel bed. The grate and channel body can be easily shortened to the appropriate length using a suitable saw, which makes it much easier to adapt them to the particular conditions on site. In addition to their attractive and slim design, our gutters are also extremely resilient and impact-resistant. The grate is made of solid aluminium and is available in silver and black. In addition, our gutters are frost and salt water resistant, making them ideal for outdoor use.
The gutters are available in two different geometries, allowing them to be used for a variety of applications. In our online store, you can put together your individual system with the necessary accessories to suit the construction situation. In addition to various drain designs (e.g. drain UD Pro), we also have connector, corner pieces, end caps & T-pieces in our range. Installation is quick and easy because the channel body is made of PVC. So you can install your drainage channels quickly and easily and benefit from their high functionality and attractive appearance.
Processing
- Remove the product from the box. The anodized gratings remain in the channel until all concrete and tiling work is completed. The foil must not be removed so that the concrete does not come into direct contact with the aluminum grating. This also prevents mechanical damage.
- Position the drainage channel as it will be later. The next point is to determine the water connection. In the case of vertical drains, the hole of suitable diameter must be made in the gutter using a hole saw.
- After determining the final height and slope, glue the parts according to the design of the drainage with PVC- U glue, fixing the angle parts and drains in the correct position. Install the drainage channel in a stable way with a foundation. Make sure that the gutter always remains straight and clean during concreting
- Now the chosen structure and the corresponding covering (for example, tiles, slabs, concrete, paving, stone carpet, etc.) can be installed. To avoid possible movements between products of different types, we recommend using a flexible product such as silicone or polyurethane between the tiles and the gutter. To avoid possible movements and cracks, a 4 mm joint is recommended.
- After finishing all the works and cleaning, the protective film can be removed.
