FLEXIBAL - Self-leveling supporter

Height adjustable from 25 to 185 mm

supporter FLEXIBAL are designed for loose laying of ceramic or mineral patio slabs, decking boards (decking floors) and fine stone/concrete slabs from 20 mm thickness. Due to the fact that the supporter FLEXIBAL are of different heights, together with the extension piece they easily allow installation heights from 25 to 185 mm. The height adjustment is accurate to the millimeter even with high loads via the integrated screw thread and the support plates convince with a high stability. The complete construction of supporter FLEXIBAL is designed for load capacity and stability for up to 400 kg per support and can withstand ambient temperatures from - 40 °C to + 75 °C.

Application self-leveling supporter

The individual adjustment of inclination to the subsoil is the great advantage of a stilt bearing installation for fast and finely leveled slope formations. The convex stilt bearing ball head with automatic slope compensation allows continuous slope formation up to +/- 5 %. A punctual slope compensation in case of uneven ground conditions also saves time and money during installation, if the subsoil is not 100% level prepared. Any unevenness in the decking that occurs later can be readjusted. The self-leveling head is equipped with a slip-resistant anti-shock rubber plate and ensures a secure fixation of the installed slabs without special tools. The 2 mm thick joint bars are easy to remove for edge laying.

All supporter FLEXIBAL components are modular and function according to the plug-in principle. This makes them extremely easy to configure when a wide variety of construction heights are required. You can order the supporter not only as a set (DURAL supporter Flexibal BA & DURAL supporter Flexibal MB), but also as individual components. If you only need the base, then the DURAL Pedestal base Flexibal BAO is the right one for you. This can be used as a self-leveling base in combination with the DURAL Pedestal head Flexibal KS as well as a base element for the rail system. In order to obtain a straight terrace decking at the end, we additionally offer you in our store an DURAL Extension piece for Flexibal BA and one DURAL compensating plate for supporter Flexibal MB in our shop.

Installing a decking with supporter FLEXIBAL is simple, fast and straightforward on all compatible substrates:

Installation of self-leveling pedestals

Before you start positioning the supporter, the subfloor must be prepared according to the respective conditions and be sufficiently load-bearing. Suitable substrates include concrete, gravel/chippings or wood. In the case of a gravel/chippings substrate, 40 x 40 cm slabs must be placed under the base elements of each stilt bearing for additional stabilization. In cases where surface water cannot percolate into the subsoil, a professional waterproofing with sufficient slope must be applied. The waterproofing must be protected against damage by suitable means. For this purpose, we recommend the use of a drainage mat such as the DURAL drainage mat DD80++.

1. Start by positioning the supporter at a corner. Select a supporter at the appropriate height and adjust it with the height adjustment ring. Check the even height with a Spirit levelso that the finished decking is straight at the end. Slopes and possible unevenness are automatically compensated by the self-leveling head.
2. Place the slabs on the supporter and check again the correct height adjustment. Proceed in this way for the entire surface. 
3. For edge areas, if necessary, cut the base element to fit at the markings and break out the bars on the head in such a way that laying the panel up to the edge is not impaired.

FLEXIBAL rail system

Laying the rail system

The DURAL Rail Flexibal is the modular and super fast laid stilt bearing system with beam principle. You choose this system if you want a better load distribution and a higher stability of the decking construction. In combination with the DURAL stilt bearing base Flexibal BAO, construction heights of 35 to 153 mm and an elevation module of 20 mm are possible. The rail system enables maximum stability and load-bearing capacity, as the rails are snapped into the stilt bearing head. The robust aluminum rails ensure 400 kg load-bearing capacity at a maximum distance of 50 cm between the pedestal bases. The stilt bearing heads can be flexibly positioned on the entire rail, which saves a lot of time during installation. If one decides for this system or for generally supporter is enough place under the plates for cables or other lead-throughs. They are also frost-proof due to the open joint.

The system is very popular for pedestals, step and corner facing and it is also suitable for wall connections for a special, optimal solution. Likewise, the clip system made of robust stainless steel enables time-saving laying of ceramic terrace elements and concrete slabs of 20 mm thickness.

The DURAL Flexibal connection clip for the wall connection:

The wall connection clip is a spacer to the house wall and, in addition to fixing the covering, also serves as impact protection. By using the wall connection clip, both the slab covering and the house wall are protected by preventing the slabs from hitting and slipping against the house wall. It also creates an even distance to the wall, resulting in a uniform joint pattern.

The DURAL connection clip Flexibal for corner connection:

The connection clips help to fix 20 mm thick front panels. The corner connection clips are compatible with all DURAL Flexibal stilt heads. The securing starts at the base of the stilt bearing and ends at the support of the panels. This system can be used to create neat and stable terminations. One piece always contains one clip for upper and lower decking fastening.

The DURAL connection clip Flexibal for the side connection:

Just like the clip for the corner connection, the side connection also secures the covering and is also suitable for keeping front panels stable. As with the corner connector, a side connection clip always includes both bottom and top clips.
