Connection profiles - for clean transitions in corner areas
What is meant by connection profiles?
Connecting profiles are tile rails used in the construction industry to make a connection between two different building elements. Connecting profiles, or fillet profiles, have an inwardly curved fillet and thus make a durable, beautiful transition between, for example, two sections of wall. Torn, badly glued or ugly yellowed or dirty silicone joints are a thing of the past. This rail makes old joints disappear easily and quickly and replaces them with a clean transition. While dirt inevitably collects in edges, our rounded profiles are easy to clean. Connecting profiles open up completely new design possibilities when renovating or refurbishing rooms and stair areas in both private and commercial living spaces. They can also be used in public and semi-public areas, for example, in the visually attractive furnishing of offices, exhibition areas, educational or medical facilities, conference rooms, foyers and much more. For visual and technical reasons, they should be installed in conjunction with matching interior and exterior corner pieces. They are just as popular for covering wall and ceiling areas and are used to hide or round off unsightly edges and corners.
Connection profiles & accessories in our assortment
We offer a small but high-quality selection of connection profiles in our store. You have the choice of different rails, which differ in their properties to achieve the best possible result for different construction situations. For example, we offer narrow and wide adjustment profiles made of aluminum.
We have the narrow variant (e.g. connection profile aluminum white) with a width / height of 8 mm in our range in silver, titanium and white. Since the profile helps to maintain hygiene, it is often used in the bathroom to replace dirty silicone joints and allow easy cleaning. For the narrow connection profile we have the appropriate accessories such as external corners, internal corners and end caps in the store.
The wide variant (e.g. connection profile COVE aluminum silver) with a width / height of 28 mm we have in white powder coated and silver anodized in our range. The profile is popular in the kitchen area, where it provides clean and durable corner areas that can be easily cleaned. Definitely a plus point in the kitchen. For the wide connection profile, we have the matching accessories such as outside corners, inside corners, end caps and inside corners 3D (e.g. inside corner 3D connection profile COVE silver) in the store.
For visual and technical reasons, the connecting or fillet profiles should be installed in conjunction with accessories.
Outside corners: Connect the connection profile in a visually attractive way and ensure that clean, hard-wearing corner areas are created.
Inside corners: Connect the connection profile visually attractive, waterproof and technically ideal to ensure the best grip.
End caps: are the "icing on the cake" of our connection profiles and ensure that the rails have a visually appealing lateral finish.
Inside corners 3D: Allows through 3 connections both a vertical and horizontal connection of connection profiles.
Application of connecting profiles
The processing of the narrow adjustment profiles is very uncomplicated and begins directly after old and cracked silicone joints have been completely removed during renovation work and the free joint cavities have been sprayed out with an elastic sealant material. Here we recommend our DURAL ET-S adhesive sealant. The center bar of the tile rail is then simply pressed into the joints. It doesn't matter if it is used on vertical or horizontal joints, but it should still be installed with matching inside and outside corner pieces for the reasons mentioned above.
Tip: The corners should be placed appropriately first in order to achieve an optimal laying result. For an accurate connection to the inner corners, it is also possible to shorten the tile rails slightly (assuming suitable tools).
