Decor profiles - Give your home that certain something!

What are decorative profiles?

Decorative profiles are special elements made of plastic or metal, which are used for decorative design of interiors. They are also referred to as trim or profile moldings. In addition to their decorative function, decorative profiles can also serve as practical solutions to cover unsightly transitions between different materials, such as tiles and wallpaper, or to conceal cracks and damage on walls or ceilings. They are used to make rooms and pieces of furniture stylish and decorative. They are often used on walls, ceilings, doors, windows or as decorative elements on furniture.

Decorative profiles are very durable and easy to clean to maintain their original beauty. They are an excellent way to quickly and easily enhance rooms and pieces of furniture, giving them an attractive appearance.

Decorative profiles are available in many different materials, shapes and sizes and can be customized. Most decorative profiles are easy to install and can be included with tiling.

Decorative profiles in our assortment

More and more tile trims are included in the decoration of the tiles. Decorative profiles made of stainless steel and aluminium are very popular due to their modern and elegant appearance as well as their durability and robustness. stainless steel- and aluminum profiles are highly resistant to corrosion, moisture and UV rays, making them ideal for use in wet areas. Here, a great deal of emphasis is placed on the material and surface, but also on the width of the profiles visible at the end.

From narrow to wide, we offer the following variants:

  1. 10 mm
  2. 15 mm
  3. 20 mm
  4. 25 mm
  5. 40 mm

Decorative profiles from stainless steel:

Stainless steel profiles e.g. the Decorative profile stainless steel brushed, are known for their noble look and stainless surface. They can be used in combination with other materials such as wood or glass to create a modern and elegant look. Decorative strips made of stainless steel we offer in two high quality finishes (brushed and polished). You can always choose the width in the article itself. Our stainless steel decor profiles made of V2A give rooms a modern and exciting "metal look". With dark tiles, our decor profiles stand out especially. Another popular application is the installation in bathrooms, here fixtures are often used in a shiny metal look anyway and complement the overall look of the room.

Decor profiles from aluminium:

Aluminum strips e.g. the Decor profile aluminium silver (glossy), are also very robust and are nowadays often used in bathrooms. Decorative profiles made of aluminum are available in silver anodized, high gloss anodized and with brushed surface. With our decorative profiles, beautiful visual accents can be set even in monotonous, boring-looking rooms. Due to the different surfaces and widths, they can be optimally adapted to your individual needs and preferences.

Application of decor profiles

Decor profiles are used for visual wall design. They are aesthetically particularly sophisticated and give interiors an individual touch. Visible surfaces must be protected against cement materials to avoid material staining. Abrasive grouts must not be used. Furthermore, tile adhesive and grout must be removed from the surface immediately.

tile profile from stainless steel are particularly suitable for areas of use where high demands are made on hygiene, aesthetics or chemical resistance. Damage due to scratching is unlikely under normal handling conditions.

Decorative profiles do not require any special care. Dirt buildup can be removed with commercially available cleaning agents. Cleaning agents must not contain solvents, hydrochloric acid or hydrofluoric acid and must not be abrasive. Neutral cleaners have proven to be favorable.

Processing of decor profiles

  1. Determine the height at which the decorative profile is to be applied
  2. Apply sufficient tile adhesive to wall above the upper row of tiles. Alternatively: tile adhesive on the back of the profile
  3. Press in the decor profile until both surfaces (tiles, profiles) are flush
  4. Lay the next row of tiles
  5. Leave a gap of 2 - 3 mm to the profile
  6. Fill the joint between the tiles and the profile completely with grout
  7. Immediately remove mortar and grout residues from the surface
