Types of tongs
The parrot pliers
A parrot nipper (tile hole nipper) is a two-pronged tool with two parrot-shaped gripping jaws and slightly curved handles that diverge towards the back. These special pliers are used by the tiler to break out or enlarge holes in tiles. Before this can be done, of course, a hole must first be made. This can be done with our drill bits, for example, and then the tile hole punch is used.
The Rabitz pliers
The Rabitz pliers, which are very popular with professionals, are a quality tool and make the work much easier! The nipper is used to pull out nails and to nip off wire or thin metal pins. Depending on the size and shape of the pliers head, nails and/or hooks can be pulled out of solid ground with a short lever movement. Thanks to their ergonomically shaped handle, they lie comfortably in the hand and thus sometimes ensure effortless work.
Other models of pliers
There are many types of pliers that are used in tiling. One example is the crushing pliers. Our crushing pliers have a transmission joint that is perfectly suitable for crushing fine stoneware and large-format tiles. The crushing tongs fit perfectly in the hand and make the work easier.
We recommend our mosaic tongs with spring especially for ceramics and fine stoneware. They are equipped with a parallel guide that enables easy and precise breaking thanks to their special transmission. The mosaic tongs are equipped with a PVC handle that fits perfectly in the hand and thus ensures all-day comfort during work.
