Want to lay tiles and design them optimally? Then we recommend tile profiles that ensure a perfect finish for your tiles. While tiles are generally very robust and easy to care for, damage such as chipping or cracking can occasionally occur. Tile profiles and their applications

Tile profiles offer various flexible applications. Tile strips are mostly installed to protect edge areas, thus preventing potential damage to the tiles. Furthermore, the profiles also allow for a separation of two different floor coverings or tiles through a certain visual effect. In addition, they are suitable as finishing profiles for wall protrusions, skirting boards, wall corners and floor edges. You also have the choice not only of straight tile profiles, but also of... Flexible tile profiles that can be bent , often used with rounded tiles. Furthermore, profiles are not only found on the floor, but also often serve as a finish in wall design, as they can be processed both vertically and horizontally. The square profile

Square, practical, beautiful! Square profiles These are separating, edge protection and finishing profiles that ensure a modern, sophisticated design in your living spaces. They are used where floor and wall coverings are required to meet the highest standards. Due to its square shape, the tile strip allows for a clean separation of different coverings and areas. In addition to its protective function, the decorative function of this profile is also a key feature.

The angle profile

Angle profiles are the most classic form of tile profiles. Corner profiles not only cover unsightly edges, but also protect them from wear and tear. They can be used in all living and working areas. Due to their special angle and various material thicknesses, they can even be used in areas that are permanently and heavily used. In addition to their protective function, corner profiles also serve modern design. The profiles are versatile and, in addition to clean transitions and demarcations of different floor coverings, create optimal edge protection. You can use the corner profile vertically, but also horizontally to achieve the best possible end result of your construction project.

The quarter-circle profile

Quarter-circle profiles Round profiles, or rounded profiles, are also used for the simple and precise design of rounded edges and create a clean finish for wall corners and floor coverings. As with the previous profiles, the round shape is suitable for unusual designs and beautiful curves in addition to its protective effect. The round profiles are used, among other things, for tiles, carpet coverings, parquet or natural stone.

The profiles can also be installed both vertically and horizontally. Therefore, they are often found in dividing areas in the bathroom or vertically on exterior corners in the living area.

We offer quarter-circle profiles in both closed and open versions. The closed version is also distinguished by the fact that we can also offer the appropriate accessories, such as round interior and exterior corners.

Processing of tile profiles

It's important to plan the tile trims before you start laying the tiles. Why? Because the tile profiles should be inserted into the so-called adhesive bed (the layer of adhesive that fixes the tiles to the wall and floor) before the tiles are laid. It's also important to choose tile profiles that are 1 mm to 2 mm higher than the tile itself.

1. First, select the tile profiles according to the thickness of your tiles.
2. Apply the tile adhesive to the perimeter area with a notched trowel. For exterior wall corners, you must first tile one wall completely.
3. Now you can press the tile profile into the adhesive bed and align it.
4. Please apply filler over the entire surface of the mounting bracket.
5. Press the tiles firmly into place and align them so that they are flush with the top edge of the profile. Lay the tiles completely flush.
6. Depending on your preference, you can now use matching interior or exterior corner pieces.
7. Leave a gap of 2-3 mm between the profile and the surface.
8. Fill the space between the tiles and the profile completely with grout.

Care of tile profiles

Tile profiles require no special care. Soiling can be removed with commercially available cleaning agents. Cleaning agents must not contain hydrochloric acid or hydrofluoric acid and must not be abrasive. The manufacturer's care instructions must be observed.

For all products/materials: The suitability for mechanical and chemical stress must be carefully checked in each individual case before installation. Protect material from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
