In our online shop, we don't just offer tile profiles and profile covers. No, we have recently added the appropriate technology to our range.

What do you need to make a room shine with LEDs?

Of course, we also offer LED tile profiles and the matching LED profile covers. You can read about the different models we have and their differences in our blog post " LED Strips ".

In addition to the tile profiles, the technology is essential, as it is what makes impressive lighting effects possible. All our LED profile systems are illuminated and controlled with completely newly designed LED strips, control and connection components.

In our online shop, we offer the "Emotion" LED series from DURAL. "Emotion" offers steplessly adjustable light colors from warm white to neutral white to cool white, high-performance connection sets with wireless wall switches/dimmers, and extensive cable and connector accessories.

DURAL LED Emotion Strip

The Emotion series is a high-quality strip with 240 LEDs per meter. Infinitely adjustable light colors from warm white (2700 K) to neutral white to cool white (6500 K) are possible with the strip. The LED strips are self-adhesive and equipped with an 180 cm long connecting cable, which must be connected to the DURAL LED connection set.

The strips have been classified in protection class 2. We offer them with protection ratings of IP20 and IP66. What the protection rating is and how the classification is done can be found further down in this post.

We offer you the DURAL LED Strips in 100 cm, 150 cm, 250 cm and 500 cm.

What do I need?

In our online shop, we offer the components as a set, but also individually. Depending on how many LEDs you want to install, different components are required:

• That DURAL LED Connection Set always consists of a powerful transformer, a radio receiver matching the control element, and the necessary wiring harness for connection. This naturally depends entirely on where and how many LEDs you want to install. For example: A 60-watt transformer is suitable for illuminating approx. 7.5 m of DURAL LED strips. With a connection set containing a 120-watt transformer, you can illuminate up to 15 m of LED strips.
• With the DURAL LED Distributor You can quickly and easily expand the connection sockets of the connection set as needed. The splitter allows you to make several sockets from one. You can choose between a 2-way and a 6-way splitter, which gives you many options. !!But beware!! Please pay attention to the power of your DURAL LED transformer . With a distribution box, you can still only use the total length of strips specified by the transformer. These can, of course, be distributed across the various connection sockets.
• That DURAL LED Extension Cable can extend the connection between the DURAL LED strip and the radio receiver (from the DURAL LED connection set).
• That DURAL LED Connecting Cable has clips on both sides that allow you to connect two DURAL LED strips directly together. This cable can be used if you have cut the strips yourself and want to connect them to another LED strip. The clips must be clicked onto the copper points of the strip. When connecting, always pay attention to the +/- of the strip.
• The DURAL LED Connector allow for a seamless connection of two DURAL LED strips. We offer you two options.

Protection class - What does the marking on lamps and electrical appliances mean?

The abbreviation IP stands for "International Protection," a term that describes the suitability of electronic devices for various environmental conditions and additionally indicates whether a potential hazard (e.g., a short circuit) arises during the use of the device.

The IP code "20" consists of two digits:

The first digit "2" stands for "protected against solid foreign objects with a diameter of less than 12.5 mm" as well as "protected against access with a finger".

The second digit "0" indicates that the electrical device is not protected against water and moisture.

What sounds complicated is actually quite simple: With a light fixture with the protection class IP20, you cannot touch components through which voltage is conducted with your fingers. However, the lights or electrical devices are not waterproof or dustproof and are therefore only suitable for use in dry indoor areas - for example, the living room or bedroom. In the area of the washbasin, for example, you need at least IP44, which you can either achieve with a well-protected IP66 strip or one of our basic profiles, e.g. the DURAL LED basic profile titanium , which you can additionally equip with the DURAL adhesive tape for LED covers have sealed off.

Lights with IP20 protection rating are not suitable for use in bathrooms and kitchens. Here, it's better to use lights with a protection rating of IP66 or higher. In our online shop, we offer a choice of LED strips with IP20 and IP66 ratings.
