Dear visitors,
Then as now, stainless steel is constantly used extensively in industry and private use. Whether for technical reasons or for its appearance, stainless steel is a wonderful metal that enjoys many applications.
Our range includes many stainless steel items with or without surface patterns. All our stainless steel rails are made of V2A 1.4301 stainless steel. This report will discuss the surface technology and patterns of our stainless steel items. Surface technology includes, for example, polished, ground (brushed), and cold-rolled (natural) surfaces. A cold-rolled surface is slightly reflective, most closely resembling the natural surface of stainless steel. This is the "natural" result of the production process. Stainless steel with this surface is usually used in places where there are no particularly high optical requirements and a purely functional benefit is expected. Afterwards, the material is usually polished or finely ground. The standard surface often found is matt grey in color. The grain size of the surface has a number that is roughly comparable to the grit size of the sandpaper used to finish the surface. For applications in sensitive areas such as the food industry, medical technology, hospitals, etc., only very fine surfaces are suitable, i.e., those on which as little as possible adheres. Those who prefer a smooth surface should opt for mechanically polished stainless steel surfaces. These surfaces reflect so strongly that they can be used as mirrors.
Our range also includes stainless steel items with a specific surface pattern. A specific pattern can be created by rolling and embossing the stainless steel surface. These patterns serve a purely decorative purpose; an improvement in properties is only possible in rare cases. For example, with a slightly rolled-in shape (linen or leather pattern), a subsequent increase in surface hardness occurs. The advantage is obvious: it becomes both visually appealing and more durable. For a decorative surface, painting or enameling can also be used, resulting in a purely optical change and no improvement in properties.
