Tile profiles and their applications

Tile profiles are mostly used to protect the edges of tiles, thus preventing potential damage. However, tile profiles are very flexible in their application. They can be used under the tile, as well as on top of the tile. There, they serve, among other things, as height compensation profiles, transition profiles, connection profiles, or stair profiles.

The stair profile

The brass stair angle profile can be mounted on the edges of the stair treads afterwards. The longitudinal grooves in the surface of the profile provide a secure grip, and for easy installation you can choose between un-drilled and drilled versions. The un-drilled version is simply glued to the substrate. This is recommended, for example, for stone and marble slabs, where a screw could cause chipping. The drilled version makes installation on wooden stairs easier, for example.

The high-quality brass profile not only gives your staircase an elegant look, but also convinces with the high durability of the material. The stair profile provides a secure grip and is mostly used in living areas.

Stair tread profile with anti-slip safety insert

In our online shop you will also find a stair tread profile made of anodized aluminum or stainless steel with a replaceable, non-slip PVC insert. Stair edges are subjected to heavy wear and tear over many years and should, of course, still look good and protect people and tile edges even after prolonged use. Our stair tread profile with non-slip insert is recommended for this purpose. Would you like a change of color? No problem, the safety insert can be easily replaced with a new one. The non-slip insert consists of a 3 mm thick and 13 mm wide self-adhesive PVC insert with a robust diamond-structured surface. This ensures sufficient traction.

The connection profile

Connecting profiles (or concave profiles) create beautiful transitions between wall and floor or two walls.

The connecting or cove profile earns its name through its properties. A cove is, by definition, a concave rounding of an edge. It is used to create a clean connection between wall and floor. This creates corner areas that are clean and durable. The connecting profile quickly and easily covers cracked, poorly bonded, or unsightly yellowed or soiled silicone joints.

Thanks to its elegant appearance, it opens up entirely new design possibilities for the renovation or refurbishment of rooms in both private and commercial living spaces.

In addition to the connecting profiles, our online shop also offers suitable accessories such as inner corners, outer corners and 3D corners. If you want to install the connecting profiles both vertically and horizontally, we recommend our 3D inner corners, which have 3 connections for connecting profiles. To ensure an aesthetically pleasing lateral finish, we recommend covering the sides with the appropriate end caps.

The transition profile

Do you want to connect two floors of the same height? Then we recommend our transition profiles. Their purpose is to create a seamless transition between two floor levels or to compensate for minor unevenness. For this reason, they are often used for transitions between doors. The transition profile also promises an attractive look and long durability. We offer our transition profiles in various materials and colors, so there's a suitable profile for every taste.

Cover profile

You will also find various cover profiles made of aluminum, stainless steel and PVC in our online shop. Cover profiles are used to cover expansion and movement joints, thus protecting the joints and even making them traversable. Our aluminum and PVC cover profiles are fastened using retaining clips, which must be selected according to the width and depth of the joint. The task of a cover profile is to absorb loads and distribute them evenly to the surface and substrate. At the same time, it reduces impact and airborne noise transmission.

Transition profile T-shape

We offer the T-shaped transition profile in brass, aluminum, and stainless steel. It ensures a clean transition between different floor coverings. T-profiles, also known as transition profiles, are specially designed cover profiles that connect adjacent floor coverings where there are no or only minimal height differences. Their T-shape allows for easy retrofitting.

Multi transition profile, screw-fastening

The 3-part profile system with a screw-on top profile is a true all-rounder. It creates transitions between laminate and parquet flooring and adjacent surfaces, and can also be used as a transition profile or a wall connection profile. A plastic hinge connects the top profile to the base profile fixed to the floor, allowing for stepless movement in both height and angle. This ensures the profile always adapts to the respective flooring without tedious readjustment.

You can choose this tile strip in different colors, so the overall look of the flooring can be enhanced in a harmonious way according to your own ideas.

Height compensation profiles

From one floor to another. With an adjustment or height compensation profile, you create a visually seamless transition between two differently high floor coverings. Our range offers a solution for a wide variety of applications. We have height compensation profiles made of aluminum with wide tread surfaces for larger height differences and also narrow variants.

Our transition profiles are often used outdoors. Wide rails are also recommended for garage entrances, as the profiles can withstand heavy loads. Height compensation profiles create a clean, seamless transition between different floor coverings. Whether from tiles to parquet or from tiles to carpet, they ensure a height compensation of the different floors and a harmoniously flowing look.
