Baseboards and the appropriate accessories

Baseboards are known by many different names. Depending on the region, they are also called skirting boards, base moldings, floor moldings, scuff plates, decorative moldings, chair rails, or simply just moldings. They are narrow floor moldings made of wood, plastic, metal, or other materials. The primary purpose of baseboards is to beautify the transition between the floor and the wall. Baseboards also protect the wall from dirt and wear. For this reason, they are particularly important for floor design.

Dirty grout lines? No problem! With our skirting boards, dirty grout lines are a thing of the past. Of course, we also offer our skirting boards with matching accessories, including connectors, external corners, internal corners and end caps.

As an alternative to our skirting boards, we can also offer you connecting profiles . Connecting profiles allow for a clean transition between wall and floor, as well as between walls. Our profiles are available in silver, titanium and white.

In our shop you will find metal baseboards made of aluminum and stainless steel. Our aluminum baseboards are always anodized and available in silver and titanium. Furthermore, some of these strips can be bent using the appropriate curver. Please note, however, the specific information in the individual product descriptions. In addition to aluminum strips, we also carry those made of stainless steel with a consistently polished surface.

How can I make installing baseboards easier?

For all our aluminum baseboards, we also always have the matching exterior and interior corners available. We also offer connectors and end caps for a neat finish. The baseboards are ideally glued with our universal adhesive.

The DURAL Speed-Flex Mounting Adhesive

Our adhesive replaces conventional fasteners, is highly adhesive, pasty, stable, paintable "wet on wet", aging-resistant, weather-resistant, UV-resistant and solvent-free. The adhesive and sealant is based on MS polymer and has extremely strong initial adhesion. It is suitable for bonding metals, many plastics, ceramics, wood, glass and stone. Speed-Flex mounting adhesive replaces conventional fasteners such as screws, dowels and rivets. Due to the very high initial adhesion, bonding is possible even on vertical surfaces indoors and outdoors.

For mounting over existing moldings?

Our Reno skirting board, silver. can be easily mounted over existing skirting boards without having to remove them first. The product can be combined particularly flexibly with various floor coverings and gives rooms a modern look. With a height of 80 mm and a depth of 21 mm, the skirting board fits easily over existing bases. Our mounting adhesive is suitable for fastening and enables secure fixing of the skirting boards. Our elegant Reno skirting board is made of silver anodized aluminum.

Flexible skirting boards

The Curver with crank Suitable for bending all tile profiles, as well as bending selected skirting boards (unfortunately this is not possible with skirting boards with cable channels) and T-shaped transition profiles.

LED baseboard

Our illuminated baseboard made of high-quality, anodized aluminum for a modern, comfortable living environment. The LED baseboards enable glare-free, indirect light distribution, which gives the room a very pleasant light and thus significantly increases well-being. Our baseboards are available in 60 mm height and in the colors silver, titanium, and champagne.

The DURAL LED skirting boards made of aluminum are with the DURAL LED Cover "Various" freely combinable. The availability of several cover colors offers you a wide range of design options.

To create radiant accents in your living spaces, the LED baseboard needs the right technology. In our LED technology category, you will find high-quality LED strips, connection sets including transformers and wiring harnesses, as well as other LED accessories.

Finishing the skirting board

1. Our metal baseboards are conveniently attached to plaster, concrete, masonry or other substrates with polymer cartridge adhesive.
2. Before gluing, the back of the base should be briefly degreased with a neutral cleaner to achieve sufficient adhesion.
3. After that, the adhesive is applied continuously with a width of approx. 1 cm in the area of the upper and lower baseboard edge, aligned to the wall surface and pressed firmly.
4. Alternatively, spot bonding of the base in the form of adhesive dots, which are applied at intervals of approx. 30 cm (= 9 adhesive dots on a profile length), is also possible. Our mounting adhesive is recommended here.

In general, the generally accepted rules of technology must be observed!

For all products/materials: The suitability for mechanical and chemical stress must be checked on a case-by-case basis before installation. Protect material from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
